CMDi’s ‘invitation only’ community of industry influencers, leaders, marketing professionals and trailblazers

There has never been a more important time to harness the power of listening, discussing and sharing ideas with experienced individuals to better understand the challenges and opportunities that shape the sector we operate in. With this in mind, CMDi have recruited a panel of leaders and influencers from within the built environment sector to form a powerful research-based community.

This carefully selected, invitation-only panel, have a wealth of knowledge to bring to the table. Recruitment has been based on an individual’s ability to contribute either as an industry influencer, leader, senior marketer, technical guru or trailblazer. The community includes CEOs and Directors from some of the sector’s leading trade associations and professional bodies, MDs and Marketing Directors from construction companies, merchants and manufacturers, and cutting edge journalists from industry leading media groups.

CMDi’s Managing Director, Dianne Lucas, comments “We’re really excited about the launch of our new industry shaping panel. It’s been formed entirely as a voluntary, non-commercial think tank, ideas factory, and research-focused community – a network of great people, doing great things in the sector. We’d like to hear from anyone who feels they can contribute, but only if they have a non-commercial objective – this is not a promotional channel or networking social club – it’s about generating thought leadership and shaping strategy based on insights from leaders.”

She continues, “with so much great work being done in the sector right now by the CLC and other professional bodies, we’re seeing more transformational change than ever before. The macro challenges like the skills shortage, Building Safety Bill, digital golden thread to name a few, are all being discussed more openly.

The CMDi Industry Panel has been created to help leaders plug into the hot topics driving change, but also ask specific questions of the community that are at the heart of shaping their own futures. We’ll be asking questions at industry level and providing a platform for leaders to explore specific topics they want answers to, for example:

  • What does the membership organisation of the future look like?

  • When will the connected home become a reality?

  • How will the new role of building safety manager change communication needs?
  • How can I shape my brand or offer to meet the changes being introduced by the digital golden thread?
  • What do I need to do to meet new competency demands of the building safety bill – in a way that helps me differentiate my business?
